World class speaker

What does it take to be a world-class speaker?

Lot of people likes to speak, whether in front of the audience or in a group discussion. But it depend what the topic have been discussed. It’s not easy to be a world class speaker. You must possess several things before you can succeed in life.To be a world class speaker, it’s more than braveness to facing the audience. We must have the confident facing lot of peoples, including very famous person i.e. a VIP. As we know people like this, the VIP, have lot of question in their mind. So we must always be ready at anywhere and at anytime. For example, if you are one of the speaker or motivator, people will often asking you very hard and weird question to test your knowledge and your understanding about the topic you have discussed. By then, people will judge the way you answering their question. So in order to be a world class speaker, you must have the gut to facing the audience and answering their question and fulfill their needs

What are the other requirement to become world-class speaker other than possessing good confidents and a loud volume? Having loud volume and confident still cannot guarantee you to become a world-class speaker. In order to become more successful in becoming world-class speaker, you must have the looks. Without the looks, people will underestimate your skill and your gratefulness as a professional speaker, but not only that, people will disrespect at you because of your messy image. For example, you are invited to come to a formal dinner at special occasion in conjunction with the best result student in one school. The school’s principal asking you to deliver a speech to motivate all the students in order to stimulate their mind and spirit in facing upcoming exam. Unfortunately, you are wearing a round-collar t-shirt and a jean during that time. Peoples will start staring and talking about your improper appearance. There, you will lose your respect and it’s hard to gain their attention and trusts back. So appearance also plays an important role in becoming the world-class speaker

Furthermore, a good speaker always has something in mind to talk about. But the things that differentiate between an ordinary speaker and an outstanding speaker is the way their present their speech. A professional speaker must possess the something that will catch the audience’s interest before he or she start its speech. Let’s imagine it this way, an ordinary yet inexperience speaker starts its speech according to what it wrote in his paper and the event went very well without any interruption. But the consequences is, all the audience starts to feel bored and tired of listening to what he speak. The audience or the listener kind of bored due to nothing interesting that catch their attention during his speech. But, on the other hand, a true professional speaker always starts his speech with a story or jokes that are related to the topic that he about to speak. With this, since the beginning of his speech, the audience will pay full intention on his topic and of course not feeling bored at all. If the speaker manage to control his audience i.e. manipulating his audience mood, that are the characteristic of world-class speaker!!!
In the end, what does it take to be a world-class speaker? Well, it is all depend on you whether you want to fight in order to success in achieving your ambition or vice versa. But remember, not all things in this world come in handy, even the inventor of a light bulb have failed 9999 times before he succeed at 10000. The point is, if you want to be a better person, or to be a world-class speaker, practice, practice, practice, and more practice as practice will make you perfect and one day you will become one of the best speaker in the world!!!

MEGACITY

Megacity

Definition of megacity

A megacity is usually defined as a metropolitan area with a total population in excess of 10 million people approximately. Also known as massive migration, both internal and transnational, into cities, which has cause growth rates of urban population andspatial concentrations.
For example like Mexico City, New York, Tokyo, China, Seoul, Calcutta, India, and etc.

Would you like to live in a megacity ?

OF COURSE!!! Because you will never be alone in this big city. The population itself is enourmously wide i.e. huge population due to the rapid growth of thriving economic powerhouse. On the other hand, a megacity offer so many possibilities, even megapossibilities.Mention only the megaculture resulting through melting so many different customs, languages, dishes etc.you will not find a big library in a small town, but in a megacity.

In megacity, there a lot of facilities such as hospital, entertainment places like the cinema, shopping complex, and etc. Compared to hospital in average city, in term of medical technologies, its more sophisticated and far more advance in treating patients. In average city, we know that the size of the cinema is slightly smaller compare to the size of the cinema that presence in the megacity which can fill approximately at least 1000 peoples on the same time.

Other than that, another factor is the multiple choices of jobs oppurtunity. As we can see, the technology used in megacity are far more advance. In other words, the professional labour are only available in the megacity compare to average city. That means, the rate of unemployed workers can be reduce by the mean of time.

Futhermore, there’s a lot of famous and standard school in megacity compare average and ordinary school in average city. Other than that, there’s a lot of proffessional tuition centre or first class private tutors available in most megacity. That is why lot of educated students can be found in megacity (first class student).

Even though the foods and drinks in megacity are all high in cholestrol and unhealthy, but in term of delicious and satisfaction in variety of foods, the megacity conquer the title!!! There are lot of choices of local and western foods can be found in megacity compared to average city or in the rural area, such as italian foods, carribean foods, chinese foods, arabic foods and etc.

Imagine the human evolution is exponentially dictating urbanization on a scale where by the majority of the worlds human population will be living in giant urban centers during the next century.

In conclusion, live in megacity are far more better and more exciting due to tremendous facilities available and can fulfill the needs of the citizens of human being that live in megacity. But even though we live in large megacity or metropolitan, we must not forget where we came from and the origin of ourlife, and realize the purpose of our live in this world, which is to be GOD servant…

Bruno and The Blowpipes

Who will determine the Future of Sarawak's Penan.....

Who was Bruno Manser ?

Have you ever heard about Bruno Manser ? Maybe for the young generation have never heard about him yet. Bruno Manser was born on August 25, 1954 in Basel, Switzerland. He was once a very famous among the Semi-Nomadic Penan of Sarawak native. Bruno Manser came to Sarawak as a Switzerland citizen and also known as the protection of indigenous peoples (Penan). He stayed with the nomadic band of Along Sega, who become the Penan figurehead for their struggle. Manser is still regarded by the Penan as somewhat of an idol, named "Lakei Penan" (Penan Man).

What had he done in Sarawak ?

The main reasons why he came to Sarawak is because he want to maintaining the threatened tropical rainforest with their rich plant and animal life, and to campaigning, in particular, for the rights of the peoples who inhabit the rainforests. He also visited many other settled Penan communities in the Upper Baram district. He learned to process food from the starchy sago palm (Mulong), and also learned how to hunt wild boar or animal with a blowpipe, and learned how to live a life that was on the same time ridiculously hard and unimaginably. However, he was declared persona non grata in Malaysia and had to leave the country with a bounty of $40,000 on his head.

What had the Sarawak Government done to stop Him ?

The Sarawak Government had tried everything to stop him because of his and other Sarawak natives’ enthusiasm to protect their forest against what they say are insensitive government and greedy timber barons. Eventually the governments send thousands of military troops in other to search and catch him either he still alive or death. Because of this, he ran away into the thick jungle and disappears. Lot of peoples stated that he died in the jungle due to insufficient of food. But some state that a wild animal in the jungle killed him without any trace left behind. After search expeditions proved fruitless, a civil court in Basel ruled on March 10, 2005 that Manser be considered dead. That is why up until now, the peoples that searching for his body has never been founded.

In your opinion, was Bruno Manser right to stop the government from developing the jungles of Sarawak and to defend the Penan from change?

In our group opinion, the government should accept Bruno plans to protect and preserve the rainforest and defend Penan culture from changed instead of stopping him. If all the tropical rainforest have been deforested or destroyed, how should all the Penan communities to live in such a harsh environment? Most probably, the peoples of Penan native will experience lot of troubles such as insufficient source of food, lot of diseases will attack them, and they feel that their life threatened by the authority. The Penan claim towards the government ; to stop illegal logging or control the rate of logging, and stop the project of oil palm plantation in ancestors land (tanah adat) without permission or respect towards the Penan community.

But in differerent points of view, Bruno should not interframe or get involved in Penan's decision whether they want to allow development or urbanisation in their community. The Penan have their own rights and they deserves the best from the government too. In conclusion, the government SHOULD and MUST respects the cultures and the life of Penan also protect and preserve the forest as we protected one's life....

IS TELEVISION GOOD OR BAD FOR CHILDREN ?

IS TELEVISION IS GOOD FOF CHILDREN??

Some people say TV is bad for children because it disourages them from having excercise and from communicating with other children. However, others say it stimulates the mind and gives children knowledge of the world. Overall, is TV good or bad for children?

Television is a part of our young children's daily lives. Nowadays, TV also available in preschools( Kindergarden), in waiting rooms, in doctors' offices and almost available in all places which where people most gether around. Futhermore, even the manufacturer of the TV are making it easier to hit the highway with high definition (HD). Now, more than ever, you need to monitor and supervise your child's TV viewing due to some inappropriate TV's programme (18sx).

Is television for your child is just simply good, bad or just plain useless? The following questions are frequently asked by concerned parents and are most probably the questions that you have on your mind, as well as of all concerned parents too.

TV is bad to everyone if it used unwisely. It doesn't care how old are you, but still TV brought so much negative influence to all viewer especially not fully developed mind-set, the children. Some responden have stated that TV is bad for children because it discourages them from having an exercise and from communicating with other children. In other word, TV inhabit all the children from getting outside from their home. For example, if that day there is an interesting programme, usually cartoons on weekend morning, the children definately do not want to arise from the sofa and lie in there for whole day long watching TV.
Beside that, the child doesn't communicating much as they less get involve in conversation. Meaning to say when the child spend to much time watching TV for the whole day long, the interest to talk is not in their mood. Because of that, lots of children have very low self-esteem.

The rate of obese children in this country nowadays also keep on rising due to the creation of TV, its catalyst the graph line of obese child and never stop increasing.
But other responden have different point of view about the effect of TV to children. Some stated that TV can stimulates the children's mind and can activate the neurons inside their brains. In some opinion says that TV is the form of first media for the child to learn about the world around them. Meaning to say some TV programme are useful and quite entertaint and attractive in different ways, eventually the child can gain more knowledge and learn in more excited atmosphere.

For example, the TV programme such as TVIQ in Astro contain lots of infomation about science in everyday lives.

We can conclude that TV have positive and negative effect to all viewer. Although it have its advandtage, it also have its own disadvandtage.

Gender Discrimination

GENDER DISCRIMINATION (BANGLADESH)

Family is natural and historical shelter for the people. We know that all types of education originate from the family. When a child born then he or she started gradually to understand everything by following their parents. The reflection of the behavioral attitude between the parents integrated in the children. That is why parents should take care of rearing and bearing of the children and should be conscious in giving them education and imparted values to them.in any cases there should not be developed within them the idea that the girls is subordinate to the boys.No parents should give privilage to the son only.

Our society is mainly patriachal nature,so that either father or any other male person dominated the family.as a result discrimination develops between the boys and girls, boys are considered to be an asset and the girl are considered to as a liabilities of the family.it is very stereotyping thinking of the society that only the mother and daughter should work household work and the father or the son will earn and goven the family. So discrimination starts form the family.

Family is the strongest driving force for moulding the children into the right direction.if the family's impact is negative on this regard, then we could not expect any justice to society. In the rural area of Bangladesh, the thinking is like this that the son will conceive the name of father and girl will not because she will go to her husband's home. From religious and ethical perpective everyone should know that both boys and girls are the creation God,so they are essentially same.

Biological difference is hot a point of discrimination for the girl it complement each other. The differences that apparently seen in the society is artificially created by the patriarchal society. This type of discrimination stops the progress of the women as well as the society.so lets start thinking positively and aware everyone of the family to treat with son and daughter equally.Family is original and historical shelter for the people.Weknow that all types of education originate from the family. When a child that is why both parents should take care of rearing and bearing of the children and should be conscious in giving them education and imparted values to them.

In any cases the parents should not developed any concept the children that the brothers. There are many instances of gender inequality in the family which originate from the inherent nature and preconceived idea of the people.for your better understanding.

Hearing is exercise for ears, but listening is exercise for brain

"HEARING IS THE EXERCISE FOR THE EAR, LISTENING IS THE EXCERCISE FOR THE BRAIN"

HEARING is one of the traditional five senses. It is ability to perceive sound by detecting vibrations via an organ such as the ear. LISTENING is a way of listening and responding to another person that improves mutual understanding. They assume that they have heard what their opponent is saying many times before, so rather than paying attention, they focus on how they can respond.

"Hearing is exercise for the ears"

We often used our ears to hear but sometimes we simply doesn't care what are the things we actually hear. Hearing is exercise for the ear and can brought lots of meaning in term of hearing. For example when we hear to something such as the sound of the construction building, we simply ignored it even though we heard it as loud as there is an earthquakes going on.

Same as we hear some foreign language or music such as the korean song or japanese song, we didn't even understand what are they saying or the message they've been trying to express via their song, but we simply like it!!! In other word, we love to hear the song and "feel" with it without even trying to interpret or understand the song.

For a special case like an individual that have a problem with their hearing system, which the ears, they experiencing difficulty in detecting the source of the sound. Luckily, there is still hope for them to overcome this problem which is by doing some hearing exercise to their ears that requires lot of hardwork and patience in order to improve their ears back.

"Listening is excercise for the brain"

As we all know, the brain is interpreting most of 8O% of the information from the sound that we perceive through our surrounding. With the sound interpreted which perceive from the surrounding, automatically the brain interpret the sound which is converted into electricals signal and transmitted to the brain via all the neuron inside our body. All this activity is done involuntarilly.

Listening is excercise for the brain; means when we listen to someone preaching or speech, we paying fully attention to what they deliver to the audience and to us. Every words enter our ears and interpreted by the brain, this eventually will develope another skill which will sharpening the used of the brain to our daily life.

"Differences between hearing and listening"

As we all know about hearing and listening, both of it are totaly difference on how they've been used. In the hearing situation, that is a simply the act of perceiving sound by the ears but for the listening, that is a something consciously choose to do. Listening also requires concentration so that our brain process meaning from words and sentences. Besides that, we can exercise our brain in listening and can exercise our ears by hearing.

In conclusion, hearing and listening have differences in term of how they've been used in our everyday life. But one thing they share or have in common is both of them give more benefits to our life. Even by listening to a certain discussed topics, it can train our brain to be more sensitive and build critical thinking. On the other hand, hearing also can comfort our heart when we're in sorrow or heartbroken, of course in a special way, such as hearing some music that barely described what we feel right on that moment. Even though we're not interprete what's the true meaning of the song, but as long we hear and drift along with the song, it can fill our loneliness while we're alone.

WE agreed the statement that "hearing is the excercise for the ears, listening is the excercise for the brain".
